In collaboration with expert midwife, Mrs. Yolla Atallah, LeMSIC members were capacitated by attending a session about normal vs complicated pregnancy and urgent labor. The next month, LeMSIC members volunteered at JeSuis Refugee NGO where they gave the training to women in underserved communities. Follow-up sessions were given to LeMSIC members by R3 ObGyn Dr. Dana Haidar about taking history and performing a physical exam on pregnant women. This month, we are planning a more advanced clinical skills session to further capacitate LeMSIC members with skills that are not usually taught in medical school. Emm Bi Amen was presented in the EMR Activity Fair and won 2nd place.
