The Marketing and Incoming Student’s Package Sub-Committee (ISP-SC)
After having participated actively in the many IFMSA General Assemblies and especially the last two years, SCOPE-LeMSIC has lead the discussion on taking IFMSA exchanges to a new level of professionalism. In fact SCOPE-LeMSIC has coordinated IFMSA’s Small Working Group on the matter and translated its commitments into the local level by being a pioneer in implementing IFMSA’s guidelines, and reporting back to IFMSA on its experience.
Along this spirit, SCOPE-LeMSIC’s mini Executive Board has created this SC, and delegated to it the realization of three main objectives:
- Create IFMSA’s First Incoming Student’s Package (ISP)
- Update and Renovate SCOPE’s Website
- Create and maintain a Blog for exchanges
The Incoming Students Package
Maybe the most ambitious project for SCOPE-LeMSIC this year. It has been in the making since two years now, and when it would finish, it would be the first package within IFMSA.
More as a “welcome package” that every incoming to Lebanon should receive, it combines the practicality of a guide to the hospitality of the welcoming committee.
It is formed by a hand bag containing some stationary, calendar, pen, a photocopy card, the Incoming student’s guide and some traditional Lebanese sweets.
The Incoming Student’s guide is a full and comprehensive guide to AUB, Hamra, Beirut and Lebanon, with maps and articles and advices written by AUB students to their colleagues coming on exchange. It is at the same time a historical, geographic, touristic, cultural and practical guide that will prove most useful for the incoming student during his stay in Lebanon and if he wishes to travel around the country and the region.
You can access the original version that was created for this site on the following link.
Also, when this year’s ISP would be finished, a link will be placed here.
SCOPE’s Website
The site that you have just accessed has required some efforts and time to be gathered up, and these were provided by members of this committee in an effort to promote the image of SCOPE to the outside world. It will be kept updated continuously and improved as events and activities evolve
SCOPE’s Blog
When new members committees will join SCOPE from new partner hospitals, a BLOG should be created and will form a nice and practical interface for the incoming students as well as the local students to know about the different local committees, their activities and their particularities
