SCORA: Standing Committee on Reproductive Health including AIDS

About Us

We are SCORA-LeMSIC: The Standing Committee on Reproductive Health including AIDS part of the Lebanese Medical Students' International Committee. We are young medical students devoting some of our time to others.

SCORA is involved in AIDS awareness. It aims at increasing the knowledge and awareness of reproductive health and AIDS among medical students, other young people and the general population. SCORA also tries to provide medical students and other interested students with knowledge, skills and motivation to educate their peers on reproductive health and AIDS.

For the past two years, SCORA has been working on a website whose aim is to further reproductive health education in the Arab world and try to reach a greater number of people through the internet.

It started as a   UNFPA-funded project, a part of a bigger scale project they are building around Reproductive Health in the Arab world. Until now this project is still a local action targeting the region, but now with further funding from UNICEF it will hopefully soon be a regional project including input from SCORA members in other Arab countries.
