Incoming Exchange Students

Projects:
So far SCORE has one active local committee at the American University of Beirut. We offer both clinical as well as basic science electives in various fields. Check our database at www.ifmsa.org for more details.

Arrival Details:
You will most likely be arriving via the Beirut International Airport, and your contact person will be there to pick you up. After that he/she will drive you to your apartment.

Board and Lodging:
Lodging will be arranged at furnished apartments within walking distance of the university. You will be living with other SCORE and SCOPE exchange students. Board is provided free of charge at the university cafeteria.

Social Program:
Is available during July and August. It aims to introduce foreign students to Lebanese rich and diverse heritage and culture. Check the Activities section for more information.

Weather
Weather in Lebanon is a warm one no matter where you come from. During the winter the temperature almost never drops below 15 o C, while in the summer it's usually well above 30 o C. It must be a relief to know that our many beaches are also within minutes of the university campus.

Currency
The currency in Lebanon is the Lebanese Pound (also referred to as Lira or LL). The exchange rate is 1500LL for 1$.
