SCORE: Standing Committee on Research Exchange

Outgoing Exchange Students

Each year SCORE has 20-25 bilateral contracts which are distributed to Medical Students via a draw. Active committee members have a priority when it comes to contract distribution. Otherwise all medical students have equal chances of securing an exchange.

Bilateral Vs. Unilateral Contract:

A bilateral contract is one which allows the two countries to exchange students, each sending one. Thus the student from each side ends up paying a fee predetermined by the respective committee which in Lebanon is 200$.

If you travel on a unilateral contract you will have to pay for your expenses in the hosting country which will be in the range of $300-$400.

In both cases the fee you pay covers your board, lodging and the social program if one is provided. The plane ticket is at your expense.
