Every now and then a series hits the blockbuster marker that redefines our views on a certain social topic. The Netflix series “Sex Education” was exactly that for our SCORAngels. On a weekly basis, members were screened an episode from the series followed by an open space discussion and a training on a major sexual and reproductive health and rights topic such as safe access to aboriton, masturbation, and safe contraception methods. This event took one of our local committees by storm such that many nonLeMSIC members began attending these weekly talks showing the need for the normalization of such discussions in our society. This activity may have started locally but it definitely has the potential of becoming a full national campaign for all of our members… and nonmembers.
