In collaboration with the WHO, LeMSIC aimed to address a global health priority that has been emerging notably throughout this past decade: Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR). Medical students across the nation united to ensure the proper dissemination of general knowledge about antibiotics to the general population. LeMSIC members were trained on AMR through an online platform and redistributed to pharmacies and malls in order to provide awareness on the dangers of arbitrary use of antibiotics. Booths were set up in malls with WHO representatives in order to share flyers regarding AMR to bypassers. It is with great pride and pleasure that we inform you that this activity has won third place in IFMSA’s Rex Crossley Awards in the General Assembly March Meeting 2020.
